Bakery of Caterina Pala


The caterina Pala’s firm is a new business, which was estanlished in year 2003 on the initiative of the owner. The craft laboratory is in Esporlatu, within the Province of Sassari, in the heart of the Goceano area.
The bakery is specialized in producing “pane fresa”, a typical twice cooked crisp and thin sheet of bread, made of flour, durum wheat flour, water, yeast and salt.
The manual processing of the ingredients, the wood-burning oven, the respect for the leavening times and the skills of Mrs caterina Pala enable to obtain a genuine high quality product.
The Pane fresa, is very tasty both as as starter along with local strong cheese creams and as a single course, such as “pane frattau”, made with bread, tomato sauce with basil and grated sheep’s milk cheese.
